The WA_Fn-Use C_-HR-Employee-Attrition data had been taken from the IBM Watson Analytics use case for HR – retaining valuable employees.
The data set contains 1470 rows and 35 rows. Each observation of the data set represents an employee. The data set can be downloaded from the following link.
The following are the variable descriptions of the data.
The data set contains both categorical and numerical variables. 15 of the 35 variables are numerical where as rest are considers as categorical.
The response variable is "attrition", which takes on the values "yes" or "no" representing if an employee has already left the company or is still working respectivly.
There are a total of 156 observations with attrition = "yes" and 887 observations with attrition = "no"
